One of the questions I get asked most often is, “What inspires you to work with highly sensitive people, introverts, perfectionists and strong inner critics?” The truth is, I love working with these clients because I’ve been there. I get it on a level I couldn’t without living through it.

I know firsthand how difficult this journey can be. And I know what it takes to heal.

One of the biggest lies we tell ourselves when we’re suffering, is that we must do it alone. Many highly sensitive people are afraid of being judged by their peers, their co-workers, and even their therapist. Each time friends or family tell you to “toughen up” or “get over it” the resolve to do it alone gets stronger. And if we spend too long in this place, we begin to feel that no one can help, and that no one understands.

I’m here to tell you that it’s not true.

When you work with me, you know you have someone in your corner. You’re the only person who can make changes in your life, but I will be there alongside you, cheering you on and walking along with you. I won’t judge you or tell you to toughen up. You get to be exactly who you are, and it is enough.

In therapy, we will work to uncover what is keeping you from a life that feels meaningful. I will roll up my sleeves and get in there with you. You’ll never be too much. You’ll always be enough. I will strive to be real with you in sessions and lovingly challenge the limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuck. It will be hard.

And I will always be in your corner.
